Judge Nesheiwat is a former United States Administrative Law Judge appointed to oversee federal government executive agency proceedings. He is currently Gartner’s Deputy Ethics and Compliance Officer. Before taking the bench, he was senior legal counsel at HSBC in both their US Regulatory and Law Enforcement and Global Internal Investigations Groups where, among other duties, he was the AML legal subject matter expert for their banks around the globe. Judge Nesheiwat also founded a financial crimes and investigations consulting firm and advised and lectured on the topic internationally.
As a former prosecutor, he specialized in criminal investigations including money laundering, cybercrime, asset forfeiture, narco/terror financing, sanctions, corruption and bribery. He provided training to law enforcement, the private sector and foreign governments while he was the lead advisor to DHS’s El Dorado Financial Crimes Task Force. He also served as National Security trial counsel for DHS, where he also served the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. Earlier in his career, he handled complex financial crimes as a local NYC prosecutor.
