As the Deputy Associate Director for Corporate Governance in the Supervision and Regulation Division of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Ms. Williams oversees the Federal Reserve’s policy, guidance, and initiatives related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-money laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control. She is also responsible for oversight of regulatory and strategic policy related to incentive compensation, corporate governance and corporate compliance. Ms. Williams previously served as the Manager of the BSA/AML Section responsible for designing and implementing supervisory strategies, including enforcement actions, to address significant BSA/AML and OFAC issues at supervised institutions. She joined the Board in 2005 after spending 15 years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Department of the Treasury in various bank supervisory and examination positions. Ms. Williams has a master’s degree in financial management from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in international business from King’s College.
