Description
The picture of a compliance officer in a leadership position conjures up an image of an analytical, structured problem solver. One may also picture drive, deep knowledge of the regulations, great relations with the board, and deep knowledge of the firm – its products and services. Technology savvy is usually not seen as a natural forte of the compliance officer. Technology, specially a deep understanding of enterprise technology is seen as the gambit of technologists. Industry leaders who understand both worlds will talk to us about how this gap can be bridged by choosing the right technology for firms, understanding enterprise systems and existing landscapes and achieving algorithm transparency.
