Description
• Surveying available research by the World Health Organization and other NGOs to gauge size of organ smuggling, transplant tourism and ties to crimes such as human trafficking
• Performing risk-based assessments based on activities such as payments to medical tourism providers offering transplant services to flag potential organ smuggling
• Reviewing initiatives such as Project Organ and Council of Europe’s convention against organ trafficking to detail ways to build awareness and gather and share intelligence
